Key Uses

For centuries roofs have been coated with bitumen in liquid form to protect buildings from water ingress.

Today's highly insulated buildings place ever more stringent demands on roof coverings, which has resulted in the development of high performance liquid systems able to cope with extremes of temperature, movement, u. v. degradation, complex design features, maintenance traffic and wind uplift.

Roof deck construction can be flat, pitched, or domed, they can be warm, cold, inverted or green, whatever the configuration of the roof there is a liquid applied system suitable to waterproof it.

Generally speaking these systems are cold applied using brush, spray or roller and offer a comprehensive range of specifications providing a wide variety of aesthetic finishes, life expectancy and performance characteristics.

Liquid roofing systems offered by members of ELWA are technologically advanced with proven performance and are being specified with ever-greater frequency for both refurbishment and new build projects because of their many benefits.
